Well the Spices Catering race meeting this weekend, in spite of being Bathurst weekend, was one of our best attended meetings, so thank you all from your committee for coming and making it a “problem” free meeting. The weather gave us some doubts right throughout the day with that sneaky wind and the sun giving some of us a bit of a face-roasting and a few showers that tried to spoil things but it wasn’t too bad really.

We had some interesting races with Giorio’s Ferrari not getting everything his own way even tho he did win in the Sedan Super Cup. Ash Barnett showed just what his car can do after some early problems in the IPC with some close racing behind the leaders.

The HQ’s provided some fast and furious competition and the Formula Classic was a procession behind Mike Henderson’s Ralt, even tho there was some spirited dicing further down the field. The Historics put out a small field but by running a couple of handicap races the organisers made the last 2 races interesting to watch.

As for the Formula Fords, what can I say….well they were fast and furious and all over the place. I believe that there were quite a few words exchanged after the meeting!!!! However the racing was good and generally well behaved.
