This weekend’s 96fm Rocks Perth race meeting was cold and wet!! However the racing was “interesting” with a few drivers thinking they could do dry track times in wet track conditions and wondering why they ended in the sand traps… much to the inconvenience of other drivers. The Historic Touring Cars and the Historic Sports and Racing cars all put on an impressive performance with some good battles throughout the field. The Sedan Super Cup races were not to be a Ferrari procession as Terry Wade (Evo 10) passed both Ferrari’s and won the first race, but with new tyres the Ferrari of Giorgio led from start to finish with Paul Fiore (V8) giving a close race… Unfortunately the Porsche’s fell by the wayside this time. Formula Fords and Formula Vees all put on their usual close racing display and the Formula Classic was again dominated by Michael Henderson in his Ralt, unfortunately Leon and his Ralt were no match for the charging Michael, even in the wet. The HQ’s managed to keep us entertained and amused with their driving displays in the wet and all had a clean meeting.
