What a day! Awesome job done by officials and volunteers in, at times, very trying circumstances. Weather was amazing (that’s because I had the ponchos delivered from Collie, isn’t it?). Another Vintage Sports Car Club of WA Albany Classic Event over. Great show put on by drivers. Hopefully catch everyone at the Social on Saturday 13 June or at the next event on Sunday 28 June. – Dani
A job well done to all flaggies and officials down at Collie Motorplex this weekend. The weather was extremely crappy but everyone did an amazing job in very trying conditions. The racing/regularity put on by HQ Racing WA, Improved Production Racing Association of WA, Saloon Car Racing WA, Formula Vee Western Australia, Formula Fords, Streets Cars and Sports Sedans and both groups of Regularity was fantastic, at times on a very wet track! Shout out to Jason, Jay and the organising committee for another great event in Collie. Will catch some of you down in Albany in a couple of weeks or Barbagallo at the end of June. Til then, stay safe!
What a weekend of motor sport at Barbagallo Raceway! V8 Supercars is over for another year and what a great weekend it was. WFMA flaggies, you made me proud to be your Chief and you all did our job, our club and our sport proud. Being part of such a dedicated group of officials (not just flaggies but all officials) makes the job a lot easier but the people and our shenanigans make the days even better. Being able to get through three long days and able to have fun doing it, it’s thanks to the group of officials that we are all a part of that makes it possible.
Shout out to Saloon Car Racing WA, Improved Production Racing Association of WA, Streets Cars and Formula Vee Western Australia for putting on a fantastic show across the weekend. You guys and gals certainly entertained.
I’ll be seeing some of you in Collie in two weeks and/or Albany in four and/or Barbagallo in seven. Until then, relax and recover!
